A Healthy Thanksgiving? That’s right!

The words healthy and Thanksgiving are rarely found in the same sentence. It makes sense as this American holiday is loved & known for featuring treats that include sugar-heavy pies, fat-laden gravies and cholesterol-ignored spreads. Now, as much as I love these goods myself, might not there be a way to make as equally delicious a meal…without the severe sleep coma after?

This Saturday, November 22nd, 2014, Onward Physical Therapy & Wellness is featuring a program to help with this very thing. Dr. Melody Stevens will be hosting a training session on how to stay healthy by showing some simply alternative ideas for your Thanksgiving meal. This will help lighten one of the most calorie heavy meals of the year (not to mention the week of leftovers after…) As a certified health coach at Take Shape for Life; she has great knowledge worth hearing.

If you have children and are worried this may not be as exciting for them, never fear! There will be arts and crafts for them to dive into and keep entertained throughout the short hour and a half event. Did I mention, this event is free?
