If you don’t have a Halloween costume yet – don’t worry. Whether you’re looking for silly, sexy or straight up scary, here is where to get the best Halloween costumes in Pacific Beach and nearby San Diego areas.
Buffalo Exchange
This high end thrift shop brings out a lot of great costumes and costume pieces in October. There is typically at least one or two large racks of complete costumes. Also, head to the hat and accessory areas to find those accessories that could be inspire the perfect costume.
If you’re located in PB itself, find Buffalo Exchange Pacific Beach on Garnet. There’s a small parking lot, too – a benefit for anyone driving.
Buffalo Exchange Hillcrest has a lot of great Halloween costumes and accessories, too. It’s only about a 15 minute drive away.
Flash Backs
If you do head to Buffalo Exchange in Hillcrest, the colorful neighborhood nestled above Little Italy and downtown San Diego, check out FlashBacks while you’re there. It’s right across the street – so you can hit both at the same time.
Known for its absolutely fantastic, and the right amount of outlandish, period pieces and glitzy options – it’s perfect for vintage lovers. It isn’t the cheapest option, but will have pieces others places won’t.
Gypsy Treasure
For that niche costume you have always wanted to do, find what you need at Gypsy Treasure. They have an incredible array of costume pieces at affordable prices for rent. Abraham Lincoln. 1920s flapper. Jack Sparrow. They have you covered.
Buffalo Breath
Rent costumes here – perfect for items that are expensive or you may never wear again. You’ll find unique and niche items – for the fancier, wouldn’t that awe everyone? – type of costume. Good rental prices. A great selection.
Spirit Store
It’s a classic but, with their array of tutus (the perfect add on for just about any outfit), scary masks and latest trending costumes – we had to include. The nearest Spirit store is here at Midway.
