Top July 4 Activities in Pacific Beach 2015

The 4th of July is almost here; know how you’ll be celebrating it this Saturday? Here are the top activities happening in and near Pacific Beach July 4.

The Bird Rock Parade

The Bird Rock neighborhood of bordering La Jolla has been hosting this locally loved parade for years. Starting at 10 am on Beaumont Avenue, come see people of all ages in costumes and on a variety of vehicles, from floats to decorated bicycles (or hey, join in yourself! You can enter your float by 9:15 am day).

Pacific Beach Beach Party

July 4 is one of the most popular beach days the entire year and surrounding bars go all out for the holiday. Just show up to the beach with your American flag bathing suit and cowboy hat. You won’t have to look hard to find the party.

Cafe Bar Europa’s July 4th After Beach Party

Pacific Beach’s Cafe Bar Europa is hosting an epic fiesta at 5 pm and going all night. This July 4 After Beach Party will have a wild drum circle, Cuban Salsa dancing and wicked specials on drinks. (Ex: $2 cans of PBR while it lasts and $5 for red, white and blue sangria flights).

San Diego Fireworks and La Jolla Fireworks

There are many options for fireworks.

The nearby OB pier

Just slightly south of Pacific Beach and South Mission, will be launching fireworks at 9 pm. Go get close at OB itself or look down south from PB.

La Jolla’s Brockton Villa restaurant’s July 4 Celebration

If you reserve ahead of time, you can get their full July 4 dinner with hors d’oeuvres and wine. Then, at 9 pm have an incredible view of the fireworks launched above La Jolla Cove.

La Jolla Cove Fireworks

You can also watch the same La Jolla Cove Fireworks from another vantage point like Ellen Browning Scripps park or La Jolla Shores.
