With just about every branch of the military in San Diego, there are many active military members and veterans who have served our country. Here is a way to honor and celebrate them. And hey, if you’re one yourself? Many companies and restaurants are giving you freebies today, which we’ll tell you about.

San Diego Veterans Day Parade 2015

The SD Veterans Day Parade, put on by a host of veterans, volunteers and sponsors, starts at North Harbor Drive. From 11 am to 1 pm, watch the whole route from the different viewing points. This year’s parade is specifically honoring the “70th Anniversary Of World War II and America’s Greatest Generation”.

Giving a free free meal for all active duty military & veterans.

Olive Garden

All military & veterans get a free meal. Anyone accompanying them will receive 10% off of their meal.

Denny’s

5 am – 12 pm, get a free Grand Slam breakfast. Just make sure to bring valid military ID!

Outback Steakhouse

Head over to popular restaurant for, all military personnel and veterans with military ID, get a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage. For the remainder of the year, they and their family can also get 15% all meals.

Little Caesar’s Pizza

From 11 am – 2 pm, all veterans and military a free $5 pizza.
