It’s October: Time for Oktoberfest. So get out your lederhosen. Prepare to lift a heavy stein. Here are the Oktoberfest events in San Diego this weekend.

Ocean Beach Oktoberfest

Oct 7 – 8, 2016

Venue: Foot of Ocean Beach Pier

Come to the Ocean Beach Oktoberfest for a two-day, beachside Oktoberfest festival, featuring a wide a variety of fantastic activities and events. Check out the Bratwurst Eating, Stein Holding #workout, Sausage Toss and the Balloon Blow. Here’s a little more of what’s happening on each given day.

Main festival: 4:20 pm – 11 pm on Friday

OB Brat Trat

Friday Morning, October 7th – Friday

The festival kicks off in the morning with the OB Brat Trat. There is a 2K for families at 9 am and a 5K Beach Run at 10 am.

If you enter the race? Entrance into the beer garden is totally free and includes 2 FREE beers for any runner 21+.

(The calories will be worked off by the Drill Instructor workout on the beach after!)

After, look forward to live music like the Boogle Brothers and Brothers Gow.

Main festival: 11 am – 11 pm

The live music and beer garden activities just keep on coming Day 2! More live music. More dancing. More costume wearing. And, of course, Stein Holding. 

Remember: There is a shuttle between Pacific Beach and Ocean Beach. Meet in front of 710 to catch it; it’s only $1 each way, goes all day and helps avoid the madness of parking or (of course) driving.

Experience the first traditional Oktoberfest of the downtown Gaslamp. The Brew Project, RMD Group & Hard Rock Hotel are collaborating to bring you this festival that will be providing amazing German-style beers from the best San Diego’s top breweries.
