The Newest SD Exhibit You Never Heard About (Just a Few Minutes Away!)

Most of you locals already know about Balboa Park and its many museums, however, have you heard of the museum housed in nearby Liberty Station? The Women’s Museum of California, located in San Diego’s Point Loma neighborhood, offers a unique view on women’s experiences and contribution through history.

The Women’s Museum’s Current Hat Exhibit

Right now, you can experience the new exhibit Talking Through Her Hat: Hats and the Women Who Wore Them. You’ll see a variety of historic hats, such as traditional bucket hats and fierce-feathered head pieces, to modern marvels one might spot have seen at a Great Gatsby party. It’ll definitely have you ready to get your own fascinator!

Exhibit partners include local hat collectors and makers, including nationally established milliner Diana Cavagnaro, who will feature her hats known around San Diego throughout the decades and the Del Mar Racetrack.
