Taco Tuesday: The Grub at Bub’s

Every week, San Diegans celebrate the magical & delicious event that is Taco Tuesday. Bars and restaurants across the city pay homage to this legendary food, each in their own way. Bub’s Dive bar in PB is just one of these places.

This bar offers several different types of tacos, each only $2 or $3 each. Main fillings include everything from your regular meats, like chicken and steak, to seafood options such as shrimp and fish. (Fish tacos are what San Diego is famous for, and the ones they serve here are a great example of why.)

If you’re looking to add a little something extra to your meal, Bub’s is known for their version of one cafeteria classic, tater tots. Made quick and hot, they tend to be less greasy and more fresh than typical restaurants.

Bub’s is on Garnet, the main street of downtown PB, which is always a popular area on Tuesday nights. I’d recommend factoring in extra time, if driving, to find parking. However, as Bub’s is less known for it’s tacos than other venues in the area, you shouldn’t have to wait long for a table.
