Helix Brewing Co.

This dog-friendly brewery in La Mesa has more than just beer. Find board games, cornhole and plenty of seating. You don’t have to be 21 to visit, so it’s ideal for families with members under 21. There isn’t a full kitchen, but there’s pretzels at the bar and usually a food truck.

Second Chance Beer Company

Enjoy a variety of brews, like Coffee IPA, Coconut Porter and Red IPA, here at their beer menu. Explore different food trucks most days of the week. For example, Up in Smoke (Tex Mex + BBQ) is typically there on Wednesdays. Check out the upcoming food truck calendar. Also, take note of why it’s called Second Chance. The decor itself is made up of salvaged items and team works with Second Chance Dog Rescue to save dogs from kill shelters and do dog adoptions.
