Exciting New Pacific Beach Project: The PB Pathways

Imagine this: You’re biking to your favorite cafe and need to cross Garnet. Looking from side to side, cars are flying in either direction. Feels like a game of Frogger, doesn’t it?

Say hello to the PB Pathways, a community project of complete streets started by Beautiful PB, a non-profit org devoted to bettering and furthering the PB neighborhood. It’s been formed and continued by local residents, businesses and partners, so Beautiful PB is by the community, for the community.

The overall goal of the PB pathways is to make this area more safe and user friendly for all bicyclists, skaters and pedestrians. How? By using signs, traffic measures and markings creates stronger safety cautions and easier access.

Beautiful PB hopes to encourage people to ditch gas-guzzling cars in the process, promoting a greener and healthier lifestyle. (Plus, you don’t feel the sun rays and whip of the wind in a car the way you do on a bike!)
